Our Program Goals and Objectives

We strive to provide the highest quality early education for all children enrolled.

Orange County Head Start, Inc. (OCHS) has developed a comprehensive and effective planning process that prioritizes the establishment of clear program goals and objectives to guide the agency’s efforts. By analyzing and reporting data from multiple sources, OCHS ensures its goals are responsive to community needs and aligned with its mission. These goals and objectives provide a strategic framework for decision-making by staff, parents, and the governing body, ensuring continuous improvement and meaningful outcomes.

For the grant funding period from July 2024 to June 2029, OCHS developed the following program goals and objectives:

OCHS will cultivate an agency culture and practices that make the organization a preferred place to work and that maximize staff retention.

Objectives:

  1. Increase Employee Satisfaction
  2. Reduce Turnover Rate
  3. Foster a Positive Work Environment
  4. Enhance Communication Channels
  5. Improve Health and Wellness Initiatives for Staff

OCHS will encourage and support a culture of professional growth and development throughout the organization.

Objectives:

  1. Increase Participation in Training and Development Programs
  2. Enhance Opportunities for Career Advancement
  3. Foster a Culture of Continuous Learning

OCHS will support parents in building financial management and employability skills that lead to greater self-sufficiency.

Objectives:

  1. Increase Participation in Financial Management Workshops
  2. Improve Parents’ Financial Literacy
  3. Facilitate Access to Employment Resources
  4. Measure Parents’ Progress Towards Self-Sufficiency
